ICCA Offers TWO Annual Scholarships
Academic Scholarship
This scholarship is to award senior cheerleaders who display outstanding scholastic achievement.

Jean Ehn Spirit of Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship/award for high school cheerleaders was created to recognize the positive life skills of serving others and showing exemplary leadership.
Each Scholarship is in the amount of $1,000 and both are one-year, non-renewable scholarships to be awarded to senior cheerleaders in the current graduating class.

ICCA Scholarship Guidelines:
General Information:
- Applicant’s coach must be a present member of the ICCA.
- Grade Point Average Requirments:
- Academic Scholarship: 3.5 GPA or above by the end of their junior year (DO NOT round up to 3.5).
- Jean Ehn Scholarship: 3.25 GPA or above by the end of their junior year (DO NOT round up to 3.25).
- Applicant may apply for BOTH scholarships, but will only be awarded ONE.
- If applying for both scholarships, the same essay may NOT be used for both. Each essay should be unique to the topic and requirements of each scholarship.
- Incomplete applications will be discarded.
Academic Scholarship Application
- Click here to complete the online scholarship application form. Prior to beginning the application, obtain all materials listed below. The materials below must be uploaded with the application.
- A ONE PAGE essay covering the statement, “What I have gained from cheerleading and how it will help me in the future.”
- ONE PAGE letter of recommendation from both:
- Cheerleading Coach
- Teacher or other community leader (Recommendations should deal with applicant’s responsibility, leadership qualities, contributions to team and school spirit, and special qualities.)
- Letter from High School Guidance Counselor, indicating grade point average through the end of junior year. This should be signed by the Guidance Counselor OR Principal. This letter does NOT qualify as a letter of recommendation. Do NOT upload official transcripts.
Jean Ehn Scholarship Application

- A ONE PAGE essay covering the statement, “What I have gained from being involved in community service and how it has made me a better cheerleader and person.”
- ONE PAGE letter of recommendation from an individual in charge of community service events you have been involved with.
- A ONE PAGE list of completed community service (designate which have been done by you as an individual and which were done as a cheer squad).
BE SURE TO FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS!
Those applications contrary to the above stated directions will not be considered for scholarship awards.
Additional Information
- The ICCA Scholarship committee will review complete application materials and select the recipients.
- Recipients will be notified by May 1 of the current year.
